Luz was diagnosed with MS in 2002. She bravely started a new chapter in her life by moving to California. She maintains her positive outlook , despite the challenges of her illness. Living with MS has taken away much of her control over her legs, and she now relies on a walker to move around safely. Even simple daily tasks, like taking a shower, have become daunting obstacles.

Her current bathtub has a high wall that she must climb over, which is a dangerous challenge for someone who cannot fully control their movement. Every shower carries the risk of a serious fall, and it’s become clear that her home needs to be adapted to keep her safe. We’ve received approval from her apartment complex to make these changes, but we need help covering the costs.

We’re raising funds to convert Luz’s bathtub into a safe, accessible walk-in shower and to add support bars throughout her apartment. These modifications will help her bathe with dignity and move around her home without fear.
