Help Luther Farms Rise from the Ashes

My name is Ben McKay. I am the owner of Maintenance Masters, a Richfield based landscaping company. I spent a decade working on Luther Farms prior to starting Maintenance Masters. During that time I built many lasting relationships with the large Luther family. They always treated me like family, taught me numerous life skills & instilled a strong work ethic in me. I will always be grateful for the opportunities they gave me. Words can't describe the immense amount of respect & appreciation I have for the entire Luther family. As many know, they are a hardworking family built on dedication & integrity, and have been a staple in the Richfield community for over a century.

On June 25th, 2025 one of Luther Farms' large bank barns caught fire & quickly became ingulfed in flames. The fire ignited from hay while being stacked with machinery. The barn is not salvageable & unfortunately is a complete loss. I am organizing this donation platform in hopes that we can fund a new barn for Luther Farms, or at minimum, cover some of the cost to erect a new barn. Outbuilding space is a necessity in farming & there never seems to be enough. Farming is stressful enough as it is, even without dealing with these catastrophic loses. The risk of farming oftentimes supersedes the reward. Let’s help turn this tragedy around for the Luther family. Your donation will be put to good use for a deserving family farm, that has been here, in the community since 1900. If you are unable to donate, perhaps you could pass it along to somebody who may be able to. Barn materials & construction are not cheap, but every last donation surely helps!

Thanks to the Richfield Firefighters & the surrounding communities fire departments who assisted to prevent the fire from spreading to other structures. There are too many things in life that cause division. Lets unite as a community to give back to the farmers who bust their backs for us, day in & day out.
