Thank you for visiting our page! We are a group of Luqman's friends who love him very much. We are organizing this crowdfunding to help support Luq through this harrowing experience and set him up for success as he begins to heal in the aftermath. We hope you are able to donate what you can to help -- we need to get Luq back in the studio AND on the big stage asap doing what he loves most, music!

Please read below for more in Luqman's own words:

"Hey Gang,

I'm writing from a hospital room in Mount Sinai, where I've been waiting for a heart, for a transplant. As of my birthday, I've been in here for 110 days—between these walls, tied to this IV, missing my own bed. And although I'm grateful to have all my faculties about me, receiving treatment 'til I can get a heart, it's been one of the hardest things I've ever had to do.

Being patient in here feels like a prison sentence. Every day, the nurses poke and prod and test and check my vitals. Every 3 hours. Night and day. Truth is, you don't get much sleep in a hospital. I guess once I get home, after they give me the heart, the healing will begin.

Those who know me, know that I've never been one to stay still for long. I have a high drive to keep moving, keep learning, keep entertaining, and keep making music. Which has all stopped—except the making music part. And that's one of the only things that keeps me sane while I'm here.
The reason it's taking so long is they have to find the right heart for me. It has to fit my height, weight, and exact blood type (O). And it has to be close so it's still viable when it gets to me. I think about the fact that someone has to die for me to get a heart, and it makes me weary and sad.

This has and will change my life forever. Never again will I take being able to be outside for granted—to move and go at will, without permission or fear I will get hurt.

All I want is get back to making records, traveling for sound design gigs, and rocking a crowd. It aint that much to ask for."
