My name is Tatum, and I am the owner of Cosmic Hair Studio. All of my clients know my cherished pug, Luna, who accompanies me to work each day.

I have owned Luna since she was a puppy, and she is now nine years old. She is the most loving dog I have ever known. Luna is extremely friendly towards everyone and will never refuse attention! Her funny little personality makes anyone smile, even on their worst days. Behind her big, beautiful eyes is a humble soul. We are so connected and are together 24/7. Where I go, she goes, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

On August 8, 2023, Luna experienced her first sudden medical episode, which nearly resulted in her death. Since that time, she has endured several additional similar incidents. The vet has informed me that she has a heart condition known as arrhythmia. Her heart exhibits an irregular rhythm, and severe fluctuations can result in a significant drop in her pulse, leading to a loss of consciousness referred to as syncope.

Luna has suffered multiple attacks this past year, and her condition has worsened, even following the initiation of a new medication intended to assist her. I have come so close to losing my beloved Luna on five separate occasions.

Just this week (December 22 to December 28), I have had to rush Luna to the emergency vet six times, with expenses totaling approximately $4,000. Luna requires additional specialized testing, which will necessitate a considerable financial investment in the near future.

I have established a care credit card and have reached its limit within 48 hours. By paying off this care credit card, I will be able to allocate more funds toward her medical needs.

Luna is my baby, and I am willing to do ANYTHING for her. I have already expended thousands of dollars and have incurred debt in my pursuit of her survival. However, I have no regrets, because she means everything to me. Anyone who has had the privilege of spending time with Luna in my salon studio knows how amazing and special she is.
