Hi, my name is Lunar Martins. I’m a trans woman living on Gadigal/Wangal land, and I live with ME/CFS, a chronic, degenerative illness that has left me bed-bound.
Before my health declined, I worked in the music industry as a producer. I loved creating, connecting with others, and just being out in the world, feeling sunlight on my face. Now, I spend most of my time in bed, unable to leave the house on my own.
An electric wheelchair would mean freedom. It would give me the ability to move independently again, to go outside when I choose, to visit friends, to do basic things like buy my own groceries or sit in the park. It would allow me to reclaim parts of my life that illness has taken from me.
Many of you have asked how you can support me, this is the biggest way. Every donation, no matter the size, brings me closer to autonomy, joy, and the simple freedom of choice.
I know things are really hard right now, the housing crisis, the rising cost of food, everything. I feel it too. That’s why any contribution means the world to me. If you can donate, share, or simply hold me in your thoughts, I’m grateful beyond words.
Thank you for helping me take this step toward freedom. I can’t wait to be out in the world again.
With love and hope,
Lunar
