Hi everyone,

This isn’t something I usually post but I’m reaching out for help during an incredibly hard time (again) for my family. Our dog Luna has recently started experiencing serious spinal issues that are causing paralysis in her back legs. The vets believe she needs an MRI to find out exactly what’s going on — but the cost for her to get an MRI is extremely expensive.

This MRI is crucial. Without it, we won’t know if her condition can be treated or if there’s a chance to restore her mobility and relieve her pain. Anyone close to me knows how precious my Luna is to me and my whole family. She is the most amazing and loyal dog we have ever had and seeing her struggle to walk or even stand has been extremely heartbreaking.

On top of that, my mom has been taking care of my dad, who suffered a severe stroke about 3 years ago and now has paralysis on his right side. He needs help with everyday things like going to the bathroom and showering as he cannot walk. Anyone close to my family knows how hard that was and still continues to be for us. My mom is doing everything she can to support both him and Luna but it’s been an incredibly heavy and emotional journey.

Between medical bills, caregiving responsibilities, and now our dog’s urgent health issues we are incredibly overwhelmed financially. Me and my mom have a hard time ever asking for help but with everything going on we feel lost and buried. Any amount — big or small — would go directly toward Luna’s MRI, and the medical care she needs to hopefully get back to her playful, healthy self.
