If you know me, you know Luna is my baby, my backbone, and the reason Miami Dachshund Club exists. She is 10 years old and our little CEO.

Monday night I came home and found her limping and in pain. After X-rays, we learned that Luna injured her back, with the main problem affecting her neck/cervical area, which makes her condition more serious. She is now on medication and 100% strict crate rest.

This is only the beginning of her recovery. Luna will need follow-up care, laser therapy and acupuncture to help with her pain and healing.

I’ll be completely transparent and share all of Luna’s medical bills and expenses, just like I do with every rescue I help. I honestly feel a little weird asking for help for my own dog because I’m usually the one asking for help for a rescue, but this time I just need a little help for my girl.

Watching her in pain and struggling to walk is breaking my heart. All I want is to see her walking again, moving that little butt left and right.
