Hi everyone, my name is Sara Villatoro, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my beloved cat Luna, a one-year-old rescue who has already been through so much in her short life.

I found Luna as a tiny kitten, alone and scared, in my backyard. She was malnourished and barely surviving, but I took her in, gave her a home, and she quickly became my little best friend. She's playful, loving, and full of personality. She means the world to me.

Just one month ago, Luna underwent major surgery on her left hip after she began limping and was in obvious pain. The vet discovered that she had a severely deformed hip joint, a narrowed femoral neck, and a dislocated femoral head, which required surgery to correct. The doctors told me this condition is genetic and, unfortunately, her right side now has the same issue.

Luna needs another urgent surgery on her right hip to be able to walk without pain again. She’s limping, uncomfortable, and struggling to do the things she loves. I want nothing more than to give her a full, healthy life, but we simply cannot afford another surgery so soon after the last one. Her medical bills have already been financially overwhelming, and now we’re facing another costly procedure, medication, and recovery care.
