Hi, this is Luna, a stray cat I’ve been feeding for months. She had disappeared for a while, but she returned yesterday with her eye in very bad condition. Luna is very shy and always runs away when I try to approach her, which is why I hadn't realized the state she was in until yesterday. When I finally saw her up close, I was heartbroken to see how much pain she was in.

I contacted my veterinarian and sent photos of her eyes to see if she could be treated with medication to cure the infection; however, he told me that, unfortunately, Luna's eye needs to be removed, as the infection has completely destroyed it and it cannot be saved. I have already looked into the approximate cost of the surgery, and a hospital in Brooklyn sent me an estimate covering both the eye removal and Luna's spaying.

I would also like to give Luna a permanent home after her surgery, so I want to have the necessary tests performed to ensure it is safe for my cats to live with her.
