Just a few days ago, Luna was her usual happy self, but everything changed almost overnight. Three days ago, I noticed her tummy was bloated, and last night things took a turn for the worse. After rushing her to the vet, I learned that her uterus was filled with pus, and it was spreading throughout her stomach cavity. The only way to save her was emergency surgery, and in that moment, I knew I had to do whatever it took, no matter the cost. Thankfully, the surgery was successful, and Luna is now resting and recovering at home. I am so grateful to still have her by my side, but the financial burden from this emergency has left me overwhelmed. I had to put the entire cost on my credit card, which has set me back to zero after working so hard to pay off my debts. Now, I’m struggling to keep up with my car payments, help my family, and cover Luna’s ongoing expenses. The stress of this debt is heavy, but I know I did the right thing for Luna.
