Hi everyone, my name is Reese, and I’m starting this fundraiser for my cousin Jenni and her sweet dog, Luna.

“Ok so another update. We were able to find an orthopedic surgeon that is 90% positive that he can save her leg with double plates for $5,500. Any help is much appreciated. She hasn't been using the restroom so l'm getting really nervous and need to get this surgery done as soon as possible so she is not in pain and doesn't get an infection. “ Thank you everyone that has reached out, shared, or donated. After further evaluation, I think amputation is unfortunately the path I will have to take. From the information that I have gotten, the plates and screws might not work due to the shattering of her bones. So the total is more around the price point of $1,500 instead of $7-9 k. Thank you for caring about my fur babies. ❤️”

Recently, Jenni was in a serious car accident that completely totaled her vehicle. On their way home, Luna—one of Jenni’s beloved pups—was thrown from the back window during the crash. Thankfully, she survived, but she was badly injured and has since been diagnosed with a shattered femur.

Jenni has already paid over $1,700 for emergency vet care, but now she’s faced with a $6,000–$9,000 quoted surgery to save Luna’s leg

Luna is a happy, active dog who loves to run and play. Losing a leg would be life-changing for her, and Jenni is doing everything she can to avoid that. But with the additional stress from the accident, Jennis is overwhelmed trying to manage it all and I would like to try and take on some of this stress for her.

She’s applied for CareCredit and is exploring every possible route, with not much outcome. That’s why I’m asking for help on her behalf. If you’re in a position to donate—any amount—it would mean so much. Every bit helps Luna get one step closer to healing and keeping the active life she loves.
