Help Luna Get to a Specialist

Hi, we are fundraising on behalf of Beverly Non-Garcia and her daughter Luna. When Luna was born in April 2022, doctors discovered she had a cleft palate at the roof of her mouth. They were able to perform surgery when she turned 1 years old, however she still wasn't hitting her developmental milestones.

As a mother, Beverly knew something wasn't right. After months of doctor's appointments and additional diagnostic and genetic testing, it was determined that Luna has SATB2-associated syndrome (SAS).

SATB2-associated syndrome is a multi system disorder causing significant intellectual disability with absent or severely limited speech.

Because of this devastating diagnosis, Beverly has had to reduce her hours to provide the necessary additional support her daughter needs. Since this is an extremely rare disease, resources and specialists to aid in her care would require travel to other states. This would not be covered by insurance.

Anything you can do to support Luna and her family to provide any improvement to their quality of life would be greatly appreciated.
