After my father passed away, my brother stepped up to care for Luna, our father’s beloved dog. He used to play with her and help care for her when he lived with our dad, so their bond is strong. Since taking her in, he’s already spent a significant amount on rehousing, food, and trying to care for her wounds. Unfortunately, Luna now has an infected tail that needs to be amputated, and the surgery and aftercare will cost much more than he can afford on his own.

We haven’t had much left after my father’s passing, and my brother is using his savings—money he needs for his planned move to Idaho this August—to make sure Luna is safe and healthy.
