I have been caring for my cat Luna for over two years now. When I first found her, she was skin and bones, suffering from hair loss, fleas, ear and nose infections, missing teeth, and a painful condition called pillow foot that affects her paw pads. What started as a foster situation quickly turned into a mission to save Luna’s life and find her a loving home once she was well. Over time, she made incredible progress—she received her rabies shot, combo vaccines, deworming, flea treatments, and was cleared of her ear and nose infections. She has no trouble eating, is on high-quality allergy-free food, and has been on and off antibiotics and steroids. However, the pillow foot has never fully cleared up.
Just as Luna was almost ready to find her forever home, her symptoms started coming back about two weeks ago. She’s back on antibiotics and steroids, but the pillow foot has gotten worse, and I had to shave her to treat welts and itchy bumps on her skin. I’ve been taking her to a low-cost mobile vet due to limited funds, which has helped with immediate issues, but she now needs to see an inpatient vet for blood work, tests, and more advanced care to find out what’s really causing her symptoms and how to cure them.
I am already stretched thin with the cost of Luna’s food, medications, and other supplies, and I simply don’t have the funds to keep up with her needs. No one else is willing to take her because of her ongoing issues, and I am at my wits’ end. Despite everything, Luna remains the most loving and deserving cat I have ever helped—always coming back for attention and purring, no matter how much discomfort she’s in. Please help me help Luna by donating for her care. Your support would mean the world to both of us. Thank you!
