Luna is my 6-year-old black lab and truly my baby girl. She came into my life as a stray, and from the moment I took her in, she’s brought endless love and joy to our family. Luna has a way of touching everyone she meets—she’s never met a person she didn’t want to greet with a wagging tail and a friendly lick. She’s also a wonderful younger sister to her two brothers and, most importantly, she’s just the best girl who wants nothing more than pets and affection.


Last month, Luna started struggling to walk, and I knew something was wrong. After a visit to our vet, we were referred to a specialist. There, an MRI revealed heartbreaking news: Luna has a tumor on her spine near her neck. Hearing this was devastating, but I’m determined to do everything I can to help her.
