Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,
My name is Robert Scott Campbell. I am a retired U.S. Army Ranger/Special Forces Master Sergeant who served honorably for 22 years and am a permanently Disabled Veteran living alone on a fixed income. I am kindly and very reluctantly reaching out to you today in great need of your assistance. Sadly, my best friend and de facto service animal, my Siberian Husky, Luna, is very sick, and she requires more specialized treatment than the local Animal Hospital can provide and more than I can afford.
Luna is a sweet girl and a true joy to be around, and she loves people. Over the past four years, I have undergone 12 corrective surgeries from injuries sustained in the line of duty while serving in a two-decade-long high-risk, high-impact career in U.S. Special Operations, and Luna has been there to provide me with palliative affection and care, easing my suffering following said surgeries. On New Year’s Eve, I drove to the hospital, most certain that I was going to say goodbye to her. However, she had made enough improvement for me to take her home and provide her “home care,” and monitor her until I could take her to a “Veterinary Internal Medicine” specialty hospital, which will hopefully happen tomorrow.
Asking for help is not something that I am used to, but I must put that aside and request your assistance to give Luna a fighting chance. Anything you can provide will be most appreciated by me and my daughter, Gianella Ysabella, who is currently deployed overseas with the U.S. Air Force. Thank you for listening, and God Bless!
