Hi friends, family, and kind strangers,
My name is Ponaka, and I never imagined I would be writing something like this. My precious granddaughter, Luna (16 months), was born with a heart defect with multiple complications. She will require several life-saving surgeries. Without this care, her health will decline, and she won’t have the chance to live a full and healthy life like other children.
In just a few weeks, Luna will undergo her first surgery at Stanford Hospital, which is 9–10 hours away from home. Due to the complexity of her condition, her parents will need to remain there throughout her recovery, an estimated stay of up to two months.
Your support will help cover hospital-related expenses, medications, rent, hospital stay, and basic daily needs, including the high cost of gas for travel. During this time, her parents are unable to work, making this already overwhelming situation even more challenging.
We cannot do this alone. I am humbly asking for your help. Every donation, no matter the size, brings Luna one step closer to healing. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this page and keeping our family in your thoughts and prayers would mean the world to us.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your kindness, generosity, love, and support during this incredibly difficult time.
