My name is Tara, and I’m reaching out for help for my beloved dog, Luna (aka Pooters). Luna is more than just a pet—she’s my baby, my constant companion, and the heart of my home. Anyone who knows us knows how much she means to me. Luna is a goofy, spoiled, love bug who wags her tail at everyone she meets. She adores kids, loves cuddles, and is an avid squirrel chaser. One of my favorite memories is the day I picked her out of the litter—she tried to walk through a door, missed, hit the wall, and fell on her side. I knew right then, “that’s my dud,” and it’s been magic ever since.

Recently, Luna had to undergo knee surgery, and on the very same day, we received devastating news: she was diagnosed with apocrine gland adenocarcinoma of the anal sac. The shock and heartbreak were overwhelming. The cost of her radiation treatment is significant, and after paying for her knee surgery, CT scan, and other procedures, my funds have been completely depleted. Luna is only 8 years old and still so full of life. I want to give her every chance to stay with me as long as possible.
