About two months ago, Luna started hanging around my apartment complex. At first, she was just a shadow—quick glimpses here and there, never staying for long. But about five weeks ago, I opened my door late at night and found her standing there, shaking and terribly skinny. I already have a seven-year-old cat named Sam, so I was worried about bringing Luna inside. Eventually, I coaxed her into a cat carrier and brought her in. That first night, Sam and Luna spent time separated by a door, getting to know each other. Since then, they’ve become thick as thieves.
Unfortunately, Luna brought some of the outside with her and needed treatment at El Cajon Valley Vet Hospital. With the initial care and preventative treatments like vaccines, her vet bill quickly added up. She still needs to be fixed and get booster shots, so the total will keep rising. Any help in the here and now would be so, so helpful.
Thank you so much for any help you can provide. It’s not a mountain we’re trying to climb, but with how tight things are in the world today, it sure feels like it. Any help received ensures that Luna and Sam can continue to receive the care they might need without me having to worry about how I’m going to make rent or tomorrow’s dinner. Love you all.
