Hi, my name is Chelsea, and I am asking for help for our dog, Luna. Luna is 13 years old, and she has been with me since I was 19. She has been with me through every chapter of my life — every move, every struggle, every joy. She has been my comfort, my best friend, and my family.
Recently, Luna had to have surgery to remove her spleen, after multiple biopsies, scans and other tests. We were hoping it would fix the problem, but the biopsy results came back and showed that she has lymphoma, a cancer that affects the immune system. Even though the spleen was removed, the cancer is still in her body.
Luna is the sweetest dog you will ever meet. She loves everyone and just wants to make friends. She is calm, loving, clumsy, and so funny. She has this way of making people feel safe and loved just by being near them. Anyone who has met her knows how special she is.
The next step is chemotherapy, which can help slow the cancer and give her more good time — time where she can feel comfortable, happy, and herself. Dogs usually handle chemo much better than humans, and the goal is always quality of life. I want to give her that chance.
But the costs of her surgery, tests, and upcoming treatment are more than I can manage alone, the insurance is not paying out anything further as we have hit the limit we can claim. I don’t know the full treatment cost yet, but I know it will be significant, and I want to be as prepared as possible to give her the care she needs.
I am asking for help — anything, truly anything, makes a difference. Even sharing this page helps more than you know.
Luna has given me 13 years of unconditional love. I want to give her as many good days as I can in return.
Thank you so much for reading, donating, or sharing.
Your kindness means the world to us.
❤️ Luna & Chelsea
