Help Luna Fight for More Time
Hi, my name is Amanda, and I’m asking for help for my dog Luna — a 10-year-old Yorkshire Terrier who has been with me literally since the moment she was born. Luna isn’t just my dog; she’s been my constant, my comfort, and part of my family for a decade.
Until recently, Luna had never had any serious health issues. But on Tuesday, December 16th, everything changed very suddenly. She stopped eating, stopped walking, and no longer wanted to go outside — which was extremely unlike her. At first, I hoped it might pass, but when things didn’t improve, I took her to the vet on Friday, December 19th.
That’s when I received heartbreaking news: Luna has a tumor on her spleen that is pressing against her stomach and intestines. The veterinarian explained that there are only two options — surgery to remove the tumor, or medication that would only delay progression and keep her comfortable for a limited time. At this point, they are unsure whether the tumor is cancerous.
Facing this decision has been incredibly overwhelming. I want to give Luna the best chance possible and the comfort she deserves after being by my side for so many years. Unfortunately, the cost of diagnostics, surgery, and follow-up care is more than I can manage on my own.
I’m asking for help to cover Luna’s medical expenses so I can move forward with treatment and give her the chance to heal — or at the very least, ensure she is comfortable and loved every step of the way.
Any donation, no matter how small, would mean the world to us. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser is just as appreciated. Thank you so much for taking the time to read Luna’s story and for keeping her in your thoughts.
With gratitude,
Amanda
