Hello, my name is Kat Provins and my rescue pug Luna has cancer. I rescued Luna about 3 years ago, and at the time, I was told she was 3-5 years old, but now I think she was actually closer to 5-7 years old, putting her now around 8-10.

Luna was diagnosed about three weeks ago with having a mast celled tumor in her vulva, which, according to the vet, is a very aggressive place for it to be diagnosed in.

I noticed her vulva was inflamed (picture attached) and brought her into her primary vet. After a cytology they confirmed it was cancer. I brought her to a specialist and was quoted a total of eight thousand dollars for her cancer treatment. I am not in a position where I have eight thousand dollars to spend on her cancer treatment. The veterinarian wants to perform what is called a vulvaectomy, where they remove her entire vulva, and the tumor along with it.

The treatment itself would cover ultrasounds, needle aspirates, more cytologies, and the surgery itself with a couple of days of monitoring in a highly specialized facility.

A couple of friends have recommended that I start a gofundme in the hopes that enough money can be raised to give Luna the treatment she deserves. Everything would be going solely to her and her care, and giving her what she needs.

If you've met Luna, you know she's the sweetest little thing that's ever existed. She's loving and has such a big personality, It's hard not to fall in love with her. She's my best friend and my absolute emotional crutch.

Even if you can only give ten dollars, anything would be appreciated, and hopefully Luna will be able to get what she needs. Thank you.
