Nov. 24: The hospital bill was paid from all my available funds, donations (both online and in cash) and a special care loan organized by the animal hospital. All financial docs will be posted soon. We are keeping this page open mainly to log more offline cash donations, but also to accept any more online donations to aid in repayment of the loan, and possible physiotherapy Luly may need.

In addition, my friend Ingrid is helping me find a pet health insurance for Luly, which I did not even know existed! She has a plan with her cat, Gandalf. With this in place, Luly and I will be in a much better situation for the future.

I am Felicita and my 8 year old poodle, Luly, jumped, accidentally fell, and dislocated her hip bone. She is in pain and cannot walk. I’ve been to different animal hospitals in the area and the quote for the emergency surgery is around $4000 from all places. Please see pictures for the estimates and receipts.

I am 67 years old, live alone in the Sunrise Lakes community, off of $900 Social Security a month and cannot afford this surgery myself. Luly is all I have and I cannot have her suffering or be put to sleep. I have never done this before with this website, and my good friend and neighbor, Ingrid, is helping me. I figured I would try everything I can.

How it happened: Luly was on the couch looking out of the front window with her paws on the windowsill. She normally hops back down on the couch, but this time, she was off balance and fell directly to the tile floor, dislocating her hip bone. She cannot walk at all, is in pain and I am trying to collect everything I can to pay the Cooper City Animal Clinic for her surgery, scheduled on Monday, Nov., 24 at 8am. The initial X-rays/exam was at Vetfield Animal Hospital, but their quote for the surgery was over $4000. Cooper City Animal Clinic will do it for a little less and have already obtained the report and x-rays from Vetfield (see their estimate below).

Finally, I wish to thank in advance, all the kind-hearted and generous souls for any sort of help for my Luly, whether that is in the form of donations and/or sharing this fundraiser with others.
