Hi, my name is Lisa Nathan, I am a friend of Lulu Lewis and was asked to help coordinate this go fund me page for her. As you may know, Lulu has been in the hospital in California since February 18th.

 

Here is what we know for sure... she had a seizure and her boss called 911, they airlifted her to a hospital in San Diego where she had another seizure. Since that day, she has needed help breathing and has been heavily sedated.

 

Taking her off the sedation medication has been a very slow process but they are almost there.

 

March 4th was the first day she was able to respond to anyone’s requests. She stuck our her tongue and made a peace sign!

 

The doctors are fairly confident that she will come out of this and expect to move her from ICU to a regular room and from there to a rehab.

 

We really don't know what to expect, we can only go by what the doctors are saying and plan accordingly. We do know that Lulu is one of the toughest women out there and if anyone can pull through this, she can! So... after spending 3 weeks in ICU and at least 2 more in the hospital she will have medical bills, she will need rehab, she will need physical therapy and she will need transportation back to Washington. Her brother Chuck & his daughter Amy are picking up her trailer and Sarge. Sarge will go to a friend of a friends place in Cathlamet. We do have a plan B if this doesn't work out with Sarge.
