To Our Lulu Community,

Last month, we experienced a devastating sewage line break at Lulu that forced us to close our doors unexpectedly. We truly believed our insurance would cover the closure and the loss of income during this time. Unfortunately, we just received the news that they will only cover $5,000 of what will be over $100,000 in losses from being closed for a month.

We have never asked our community for help before. But this is one of those moments where we can’t do it alone.

The financial impact of this closure is overwhelming. Without support, it could bankrupt us. The funds raised will go directly toward rent, utilities, and paying the dedicated employees who have been unable to work for the past two weeks. Our team is family, and protecting them matters deeply to us.

We were in the middle of a rebrand and pouring everything we had into the next chapter of Lulu. To have this happen right before launching what we’ve worked so hard to build has been heartbreaking. We never meant to close during our transition, but the sewage line situation forced us to.
