Dear Friends and Family,
As many of you know, severe storms have devastated communities along our southern border and in northern Mexico. My dear friend Lulu’s shelter in Reynosa, MX has been hit particularly hard by flooding.
I first met Lulu and visited her shelter during the Title 42 era, and we’ve remained close ever since. My last visit was two years ago when asylum seekers in her shelter provided feedback during the early testing of Pathfinder. In recent months, Lulu lost critical funding from U.S. NGOs, making it increasingly difficult to keep the shelter running.
Despite these challenges, my dear friend, also known as mamá Lulu continues to provide refuge to stranded asylum seekers and migrants impacted by cruel U.S. and Mexican immigration policies.
Now, the recent storms have left her shelter severely damaged, not much is left and they are in urgent need of support. It breaks my heart to see what she and the people she serves are going through. If you’re able, please consider making a donation—any amount can make a difference.
In addition to basic necessities, Lulu will need to restore electricity and replace essential tech equipment, including computers, printers, and a TV. Please keep this in mind when considering a donation. Every contribution helps them rebuild and continue supporting those in need.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity. ❤️
