Help Luke Williams Recover from a Spinal Cord Injury
Donation protected
Thank you all so much for your continued support and prayers. Luke was transferred to Mt. Sinai Rehabilitation Center for Spinal Cord Injuries in Manhattan on August 26th. He is under the care of Dr. Bryce, along with a team of various specialists for physical therapy, occupational therapy, neuropsychology, and speech and language therapy. He has made a lot of progress, including he is now able to talk and eat and drink again. He is learning to operate a motorized chair with his head as well. He is also dealing with a pressure wound and subluxation of his shoulders. We are learning so much each day about how we can help him, as well as the challenges and obstacles we will try to overcome together.
Thank you for your continued support and prayers. We really appreciate each and every one of you, and cannot thank you enough.
In appreciation and love,
Kathy, JJ, Luke and Noah

From Luke’s family:
Thank you all so much for your continued prayers, love, donations, and shares of this GoFundMe for Luke. He is scheduled to have his third surgery today. We are thankful that his breathing levels have stayed steady enough that he can have this next surgery and continue on his recovery.
Luke has a very long road ahead of him full of expensive unknowns. When stable, he will be transferred to an in-patient rehabilitation hospital where he will likely receive months of spinal cord injury rehab from physician-led teams that may include physical, occupational, speech, and recreational therapists, mental health and internal medicine specialists, nurses with specialized training in spinal cord rehabilitation, respiratory therapists, and more.
As a young and vibrant 23-year-old, we remain ever hopeful and by Luke’s side.
Please continue to share this page, donate if you can, tell anyone you know a good “Luke” story (we all have one!), and keep the prayers and messages coming. We are feeding off all the love—and we can’t thank you enough.
With our deepest gratitude,
Luke, Kathy, JJ, and Noah

Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,
While cruising Saratoga Lake with friends, Luke suffered a life-altering accident jumping off a boat on Sunday, July 28th. He was airlifted to Albany Medical Center, where he's had two surgeries for a severe spinal injury. Currently, Luke is very weak in his upper arms and shoulders, but does not have feeling in his hands or lower body.
Luke's journey to recovery will be long and challenging, and as of now, unknown. We imagine he may need extensive physical therapy, medical treatments, and special care. The financial burden of medical bills, rehabilitation, and support for his daily needs is immense.
Luke is a spontaneous, friend-oriented person who has always brought joy and energy to those around him. Now, he needs the support of his community more than ever. His parents, Kathy and JJ, and his brother Noah are all by his side and will be there to care for him.
We are reaching out to everyone for support during this incredibly hard time. Your generous contributions will help cover costs like:
- Medical bills from surgeries and hospital stays
- Ongoing physical therapy and rehabilitation
- Essential medical equipment and home modifications
- Daily living expenses and caregiver support
Every donation, no matter the size, will help Luke during his recovery. We are deeply grateful for your kindness, prayers, and support.
Please keep Luke in your thoughts and prayers as he embarks on this challenging journey.
Thank you for being a part of Luke's journey to recovery.
