let me introduce you to Luke Swanberg.
This man is the kindest, most genuine person you will ever meet. Everyone he meets he becomes instant friends with. He’s silly, goofy, weird, funny, adventurous, and full of life. People like him don’t come around too often, we are so lucky to have him in our lives. This last September we got engaged and have been planning our wedding for June 2026, and spend our days with our cat and friends enjoying Washington for all it has to offer.
Recently, the past two months Luke has had many appointments to diagnose what we thought was an infection, but the antibiotics just never seemed to work. After a trip to the ER, and a few scans later, turned out he had some lesions and nodules on his lungs and liver.
He has now seen a specialist after a referral from the ER doc. To which he’s been diagnosed with testicular cancer. while the success rate for getting rid of this type of cancer is high, Luke has a very rare case. The cancer has metastasized to his lung and liver and we are still discovering how severe its spread and how intense the chemo will be.
we have lots of appointments, an emergency surgery, recovery time, time off work, etc.
we have an incredible support system, and coworkers, and most importantly we have our faith in God that He will carry us through this.
The medical bills and time off from work is already stacking up and we are hoping for a little help from our community. So many people have been in our shoes, and we take so much strength from them and their stories.
So many people have reached out and asked how they can help, financial hardship with medical bills is an added stress we don’t need. any help would be so appreciated and will go directly to Luke and his hospital bills. We also more than anything would appreciate prayers during this time.
