Today, I reach out to you with a heavy heart but also with hope for the kindness and generosity of our community. My dear friend Luke has faced unimaginable loss. The recent California wildfires have not only destroyed his home but also uprooted the life he worked so hard to build. Now, he faces the daunting challenge of starting over from nothing.

My name is Daniel Harpst, and I’m from Alabama. Luke is a close friend who lives in California, and I am organizing this fundraiser to support him. Luke will be the direct beneficiary of all funds raised, which will be used to help him rebuild his life. Specifically, the funds will go toward securing temporary housing, purchasing essential items such as clothing and household goods, and taking the first steps toward long-term recovery.

Luke’s story is one of resilience, kindness, and selflessness. He’s the kind of person who would give the shirt off his back to help others. Over the years, Luke has been a beacon of hope and support in our community.
