Help Luke live his best life while His able.

hi I’m Emily iv created this go fund me for some dear friends Luke missy and Chester to enjoy Luke’s final months together the best way they can without missy having to stress about finances or work.

Luke would really love a holiday with his wife and son why his still able and just take the pressure off missy being the main income earner for the family during this difficult time.

They deserve to spend Luke’s final days making memories together and spend every minute of every day however long that may be with out stressing about how they will pay rent and every day expenses.

Luke was born with pulmonary artesia. The valve that pumps blood to the lungs never fully developed so he had 4 open heart surgeries between birth age 4.

December 1989 was his last one. At the time his prognosis was not good at all. The doctor's predicted he probably would never reach his 18th birthday but he did. He has exceeded all odds to be 40 years old.

He's a living & breathing miracle. We always knew the day would come where things wouldn't be able to be fixed anymore but we just hoped he could keep smashing the odds stacked against him. we prayed he would reach the day to receive a new heart and lungs however recently Luke’s health has been deteriorating more and more.

This week he got the worst news anyone could get his liver and kidneys are now shutting down and the transplant window is now closed the drs have given Luke possibly a few good months left We're so lucky that medicine has come such a long way since the 80s & there has been so many new medications & things to keep him stable for such a long time. Ultimately he was diagnosed with heart failure when he was 33 & slowly but surely from there his health has started to take a downward spiral. He had to give up working when Chester was around 1 on doctor's orders & since then has been the ultimate stay at home Dad while missy was off bringing in the bacon.

The love they have for each other is unmatched & are both so incredibly heartbroken their time together is going to be cut short. The day they got married in November 2021 was the best day of both of their lives & are so grateful they have had the time that they have.
