Help Luke Afford Life-Saving Treatment

My name is Amy Joyce. I’ve created this GoFundMe for my dear friend Tina Vires' son, Luke. In August 2016, Luke was diagnosed with a wild GIST (gastrointestinal stroma tumor). It also showed 60 tumors in the liver and a tumor on his spine and rib. After seeking treatment from Crittenton, Karmanos, U of M plus multiple trips to California, Brazil, and Mexico, he realized there was nothing that could be offered by Western medicine.

Through research on his own, he found an autoimmune booster banned in the US and not approved by insurances. He’s had great results from 2018 when he underwent surgery to remove a 10-pound tumor and 1/3 of his stomach. Luke had been living his life in Arizona and most recently Colorado. In order to save money, he switched to a topical salve instead of the injectable. He noticed he wasn’t feeling as well and returned to U of M for more PET scans which showed multiple liver tumor growth.

He’s back on the injectable but the cost is astronomical. Luke was given a prognosis in 2018 of less than a year. It’s 2024 and with the help of the autoimmune booster and prayers to God, he feels good and has a positive mindset. He knows cancer is not the end of him. Luke and his wife Brandy are ready and excited to start a new chapter with the arrival of their first child in February!
