Help Baby Luka Fight for His Future

Luka is an 11-month-old boxer mix with the sweetest soul and a heart full of love. Despite his young age, he has already endured more hardship than any dog ever should.

Recently, Luka was struck by a car, leaving his front right leg so severely injured that amputation was the only way to save his life. Even after such a traumatic experience, Luka’s spirit has remained gentle and hopeful—his tail still wags, and he still leans in for every hug he can get.

But Luka’s battle isn’t over.

During his recovery, we learned that he is also heartworm positive and requires fast-kill heartworm treatment, a long and difficult medical process that is both painful and expensive. Without this treatment, Luka will not have a future. With it, he has a real chance at a healthy, happy life.

We are doing everything we can to give Luka the care he deserves, but the medical bills have quickly become overwhelming—hospitalization, medications, follow-up appointments, and now intensive heartworm treatment.
