Karina and Ariela are asking the community to come together for Luisa, a dear friend and single mother who recently lost her home in the Hawk fire in Reno, Nevada and did not have homeowner’s insurance, so they are facing a very complex rebuilding process from scratch.. On the morning of August 22, 2026, Luisa was at work when everything changed. She was only able to make it back home long enough to save her two small dogs and grab a few important documents before the heavy smoke forced her to leave. Luisa and her 11-year-old son escaped with nothing but the clothes they were wearing.
This fundraiser is to help Luisa begin again after such a devastating loss. Donations will go toward replacing basic belongings and covering urgent day-to-day needs for Luisa and her son as they try to rebuild their lives. After losing so much so suddenly, even the smallest act of kindness can make a real difference.
If you are able, please consider supporting Luisa during this incredibly difficult time. Every donation, share, and message of support will help remind her and her son that they are not facing this alone. Ariela is deeply grateful for any help the community can give as Luisa works to recover and move forward.
