At the end of January 2019, my father went to the hospital with pain in his stomach after being in and out of the hospital all of last year. He went into surgery because an ulcer in his stomach burst which caused him to go into septic shock. He ended up in a coma for two weeks until he finally woke up, but still in a lot of pain. Despite the efforts of the doctors, the blood flow to my father's ligaments had stopped because of the medicine that he was being given. The doctors mentioned that the medicine was focusing on his internal organs more than the need for blood to the ligaments. His right hand's blood flow completely stopped and the doctors said that there wasn't a pulse. Slowly his hand began to deteriorate and turn black. We were then informed that they would have to amputate the hand. On March 5th, the doctors took him in to amputate the hand. My father is now in the ICU and we have no idea when he is going to be discharged. The reason why we are starting this campaign is due to the fact that my father had to retire early due to his health and my family has encountered some financial hardships. He was looking for work (he had interviews) a month before he ended up in the hospital. My mother hasn't been able to work since she is at the hospital with him 24/7. It has been a long and tough month due to the fact that we didn't know if he wasn't going to survive or not. We are asking if you can please help us since my father cannot work and my mother has been taking off work to be there with him 24/7. Anything will help and if you cannot donate, please share our post. Thank you and God Bless.
