Let’s help Luis recover from hit and run.

Hi, my name is Shannon. I am starting this fundraiser to help Luis

(Manager at Mayas restaurant Palm City), with medical expenses etc. On January 10th, Luis was driving home from work after shutting down Mayas. He was on his motorcycle and going about 35 mph, when a car hit him from behind. The driver fled the scene and left Luis lying on the ground with his bike on top of him. A Good Samaritan, thankfully stopped and took Luis’s helmet off to make sure his head was okay. Luis being in shock tried to stand up and continued to say he needed to call his family. The good samaritan told Luis not to move and an ambulance was on the way. Luis does not remember much after that. Thank God he is alive but unfortunately he did suffer some traumatic injuries, that require multiple surgery’s and lengthy recovery. For all who know Luis especially from Mayas, know that he is a wonderful, kind, and always looking to make you happy kind of person. It breaks my heart that some horrible person could leave him lying on the road like that. Luis has a 7 yr. Old daughter and wife and is the bread winner for his family. He is still in the hospital and will be for some time. Let’s help Luis concentrate on his recovery and let him know his Mayas family and friends are here to help him in his road to recover and get his butt back in Mayas and get busy making those margaritas. We love you Luis. You will be walking again in no time!!!!
