On February 19, 2026, a routine walk across Johnson Boulevard in South Lake Tahoe turned into a life-changing moment when I was struck by a vehicle. I was taken to Barton Memorial Hospital and treated for a concussion and head injury. I’m incredibly grateful to be alive.
Before the accident, I lived an active life, caring for my two dogs, working full-time, and staying connected through a yoga studio work-exchange program. Since then, everything has changed. I lost my job, can no longer continue the work-exchange, and without a car, getting around town now feels overwhelming and frightening while I recover. I’m facing medical expenses, lost income, and daily living challenges while trying to heal. As a working student building a stable future, I wasn’t prepared for this sudden setback.
Your support will help cover medical bills, rent and basic needs, transportation during recovery, and care for my dogs so I can focus on healing. If you can’t donate, sharing this or checking in means more than you know. Thank you for helping me rebuild.
