Help Luis Marquez Heal After Brutal Attack

As most of you already know my cousin was assaulted while he was working(DoorDashing). He just recently graduated High School and has never been a troubled kid. He was just trying to make some money. Unfortunately on 8/12 his shift took a turn and sent him to the ER. We are asking the community to come together and help him. He like anyone else will have medical bills, adult bills that will not stop regardless of his situation. Any donation or share will help immensely as he recovers from this traumatic situation.

My son Luis Marquez was brutally attacked last night while he was working (door dashing).

He was delivering a food order to the Racket Club Apartments around 10pm. After he delivered the order to the apartment unit and was exiting the building to walk to his car in the parking lot, he was approached by two Hispanic males around their 20’s, they had blue bandanas covering their faces. They started running up to him with a metal baseball bat and chased him through the apartment complex’s. Luis attempted to run to his car in the parking lot two buildings away but was unsuccessful. They caught up to him and began beating him with a metal bat all over his body, head, face, mouth, back, legs and arms. They then removed his shoes (Red/black Jordan thunders) and took off running into the dark. They left my son laying on the side of the apartments, beaten, bruised and bleeding from the injuries. He has a broken jaw in two places, a torn ear, his bottom teeth are broken and out of place, he has severe swelling all over his body and face. They did not attempt to steal his wallet, his Apple iPhone, his car keys or car. And the only thing they took was his shoes. He is currently at the hospital being treated and will need surgery to repair his jaw. We are awaiting for the CT and X-ray results to see if there is any further damage and waiting for the face surgeon. I am posting this to share awareness but most importantly to catch these two criminals that did this horrific assault on Luis and have caused severe bodily injury to him. The police are looking for them and have been unable to locate them at this point. Please, please share this so that we can find them and have them held accountable for their actions. This could have happened to anyone. If anyone has any leads, or knows anything about this incident, please message me or call me. You can also call the Sherriffs department and report any information you may have. We need JUSTICE!!! Please please please spread the word and share! And if you see anyone selling a pair of size 10 Jordan Thunders black and red, call the police!

8/13 Update as of 8:45 am: He will have surgery this morning and will have his mouth wired shut for up to 4-6 weeks. No solids until he is completely healed.

8/14 Update on Luis: 

 He is back home! Overall he is doing well. We are doing our best to keep him comfortable and the pain controlled. He has been able to keep liquids down and has been able to get some rest. Please continue to pray for him that he heals physically, emotionally and mentally. I don’t think he has been able to fully process the severity of what happened to him. He has a long road to recovery and I just pray that he is able to push through and move forward. Again, a huge thank you to everyone for everything they have done for us and for the support and love shown to my son and our family. We truly could have not done this without your help. We are eternally grateful to you all, the community, our friends, family and most importantly GJ law enforcement and GOD! All three of the suspects have been detained and are in jail. The court hearing went great and the bond for the two males was increased to 100k cash only bond. Lots of progress made today! #JusticeForLuis
