Help for Luis Omar Pérez

Luis Omar Pérez, Kariliz’s brother, has been battling Stage 4 metastatic neuroendocrine pancreatic cancer since 2024. The cancer has affected his pancreas, liver, and spleen, and for the past two years he has received care at MD Anderson Cancer Center. During that time, Luis has gone through targeted radiation therapy, oral targeted therapy, and chemotherapy in hopes of slowing this disease. He has also faced added complications from the tumor affecting blood flow near his liver, which required additional procedures. Now, after all he has already endured, his most recent scans show that the tumors have continued to grow despite treatment. At this time, he does not qualify for a clinical trial or a new FDA-approved treatment option, even as the disease continues to progress.

Because of this, Luis and his family are pursuing immunotherapy treatment at Oasis of Hope in Tijuana, Mexico in October 2026. Support from this fundraiser will help cover the cost of that treatment, along with travel expenses and follow-up appointments. Every donation, no matter the amount, will help Luis continue fighting and give him access to this next step in care.
