Hello everyone, my name is Luis Cruz. Some of you know me as DJ Louie Love. I need your help. My life turned upside down on 9/23/2025. I was already slated to have stomach surgery in January 2026, but that was put on hold. I was at work on my lunch hour, and I hurt my left knee. I received a contusion and a hairline fracture. While I was out, I was putting too much pressure on my right knee and hand, which now required surgery. So I had hand surgery on 12/19/25, and I thought everything was fine, but it was not. Three weeks later, the hand got infected, and I had to have surgery again, which helped somewhat; the infection was gone, but I couldn't fully close my hand. Then on 1/23/26, I had a total right knee replacement. I spent 9 days in the hospital with complications, low oxygen, and an infection. I went home and had a home health nurse who came by and a therapist, who were great. Then came the weight loss. I was a healthy 180 pounds. Now I weigh 135 pounds. My stomach surgery has been put off till June due to the weight loss cause it can be dangerous for me. After all, I have to go on a liquid diet for the first 30 days, which can bring me down to about 100 pounds. I applied for worker's comp but was denied because it was during my lunch hour, even though it was on company property. So instead, I went on short-term disability instead of giving me $739.20 a week for worker's comp. I am getting $170.00 a week for short-term disability. What I am asking is for some help with my medical expenses, as well as some other things. Anything will be appreciated, thank you.
