Recently, our world was turned upside down when my father Luis Castillo traveled to Mexico and was unexpectedly hospitalized just a day after arriving. He is now bedridden, too weak to move, and facing urgent heart surgery and the need for a pacemaker. With only a cousin and two nieces by his side in Mexico, he is far from home and the rest of his family. This situation has left my mother and me feeling lost and overwhelmed. We are unable to travel to be with him because of the mounting medical bills, and his health conditions prevent him from returning home without the necessary surgeries. The costs for his care—including the pacemaker, surgery, and ongoing hospital expenses—are more than we can manage alone. We are reaching out for help so that my father can get the treatment he needs and, hopefully, return home to us.
