Help Luis Artola Stay in the USA

Hello Everyone,

Luis Artola, Father, Son, Brother and Friend — is facing possible deportation, but with your financial help, and through faith, we can do everything possible to stop it.

His siblings, and most of all his mother and his children which he supports, are deeply grateful.

I come with my heart in my hand to ask for your help for Luis during these very difficult times our family is going through.

Luis Story:

Luis came to the US at age 9 from Nicaragua. My mom Nora brought all of us for a better life and for us to be able to achieve a future here in the country of freedom.

He grew up in Miami Florida in a city called Sweetwater.

Attended Sweetwater Elementary, Ruben Dario Middle School and Braddock Senior High School.

I call out to all his friends from our hometown, to all his coworkers.

He has always been a hard worker and sole provider for his family, he started working since he was 15 years old and has always been a very responsible person. At 18 finally found his career working for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines as remodeling and maintenance.

He has 3 beautiful children Jordan Artola age 16 and Luis Artola Jr. age 11 and Matias Artola age 6, that are waiting for daddy to come home.

His kids love him and depend on him so much not just emotionally but also financially.

Luis Jr. suffers from health issues (ADHD and psychological health issues) and this has really taken a toll on his health with what is going on with his dad.

Not being able to speak to him freely or see him as they usually did. Taking them to their football practices. End of the year graduation daddy wasn't able to be there!!!!

The kids are really missing their dad and are very sad and are in need of their father.

This has also taking a toll on my mom with her health psychologically, and with Alzheimer's, high blood pressure and it just keeps getting worst, knowing her son has been imprisoned for almost 2 months. She is also facing financial instability with his absence.

The system has hardened!!!

My brother was deported to Nicaragua in December 2014 because he missed an immigration appointment while he was at work out of the country.

His job was working on the Royal Caribbean Cruises remodeling the ship all around. His job consisted of being gone on a cruise for 2-3 weeks to even 1 month at times. Unfortunately January 2014 he was abroad.

Please keep in mind ships still cruise while being remodeled.

During this notice and citation he missed his court appearance. Therefore the judge filed for deportation directly for missing the appointment.

While working on his case and trying to obtain another hearing he was rejected.

He was literally taken into custody on October 2014 and Deported on December of 2014.

After he was deported, with everything happening in Nicaragua, he was struggling over there along with his wife and children as well.

In Nicaragua the presidential elections were also in process and Luis became part of the 2018 uprisings known as the “Blue and White” movement. Because of this, the government imprisoned him, began threatening him, searching for him, and even vandalized my mother’s house in Nicaragua looking for him. His life was in jeopardy.

Because of everything going on in Nicaragua, Luis had no choice but to flee Nicaragua and return to the United States, as his life was in danger and our entire family is here in Miami, Florida.

Upon arrival the Biden administration allowed him to enter under supervised release. They allowed him to enter because he showed all his proof of all of us here and his wife and children here in Miami Florida and were all citizens and residents. So they allowed him entry and a flight to Miami once he was released. He started working again once he came and started working again on his papers. Every year, he reports to immigration court to check in, while his papers were in process. He has a license, work permit, social security, he is only missing his residency card.

Now, under the Trump administration, on April 30, literally after his birthday, Luis had his regular yearly immigration appointment and was detained on the spot.

And now here we are asking for the community to please help us.

We need to pay $10,000.00 to the lawyer as soon as possible.

We can all come together yes but it's not enough.

Unfortunately we all have bills and none of us have this type of amount to come up with and in such short notice.

The reason we are asking for help is that his attorney at Law, is now requesting $10,000.00.

His lawyer has been his attorney since he reentered the country and was working on his paperwork. He has always paid his legal fees, but since he is now detained, she needs to handle additional procedures, which is why she is charging $10,000.00.

The family just attended his last court this past Monday June 2nd 2025, we all attended and showed our support at Krome detention center which is where he is detained.

What we are going through is just horrible, I personally can't even begin to explain it. I can only imagine what my nephews and my mom are going through. I wish this on no one.

He has a court date coming up now in July, but we must raise this money beforehand as soon as possible so that the lawyer at Pozo Goldstein, can continue working on the case and representing him.

Luis Artola Padre,Hijo, Hermano, Amigo, enfrenta posible deportacion, pero con tu ayuda económica podríamos hacer lo posible mediante la fe en poder detener esa deportación. Sus hermanos y sobre todo su madre y sus hijos el cual el es sustente te lo agradecen.

Vengo con el corazón en la mano a pedirles ayuda para mi hermano Luis durante estos momentos tan difíciles que estamos atravesando como familia.

La historia de Luis:

Luis llegó a los Estados Unidos a la edad de 9 años desde Nicaragua. Mi mamá Nora nos trajo a todos en busca de una vida mejor y para que pudiéramos tener un futuro en este país de libertad.

Luis creció en Miami, Florida, en una ciudad llamada Sweetwater.

Asistió a Sweetwater Elementary, Ruben Dario Middle School y Braddock Senior High School.

Hago un llamado a todos sus amigos de nuestra ciudad, a todos sus compañeros de trabajo.

Luis siempre ha sido un hombre trabajador y el único proveedor para su familia. Comenzó a trabajar desde los 15 años y siempre ha sido una persona muy responsable. A los 18 años encontró su carrera trabajando para Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines en remodelación y mantenimiento.

Tiene tres hermosos hijos: Jordan Artola de 16 años, Luis Artola Jr. de 11 años y Matías Artola de 6 años, que están esperando que su papá regrese a casa.

Sus hijos lo aman y dependen de él no solo emocionalmente sino también económicamente.

Luis Jr. sufre de problemas de salud (ADHD y problemas psicológicos) y esta situación con su papá ha afectado gravemente su bienestar.

Ya no puede hablar con él libremente ni verlo como lo hacía antes. Ya no los puede llevar a sus prácticas de fútbol. ¡En la graduación de fin de año su papá no pudo estar presente!

Los niños extrañan mucho a su papá, están tristes y necesitan a su padre.

Esto también ha afectado gravemente la salud de mi mamá, tanto psicológicamente como por el Alzheimer, la presión alta, y todo sigue empeorando al saber que su hijo ha estado encarcelado por casi dos meses. Además, está enfrentando inestabilidad financiera debido a su ausencia.

El sistema en este momento está muy endurecido.

Mi hermano fue deportado a Nicaragua en diciembre del 2014 porque se perdió una cita de inmigración por estar fuera del país en se trabajo.

Su trabajo era en Royal Caribbean Cruises, remodelando barcos alrededor del mundo. A veces se iba de viaje en crucero por 2 o 3 semanas, incluso hasta un mes.

Desafortunadamente, en Enero del 2014 estaba fuera del país.

Es importante saber que los barcos siguen navegando durante remodelaciones.

Debido a esto, no pudo asistir a su cita con inmigración, y el juez ordenó su deportación por no presentarse.

Mientras intentaba reabrir su caso, fue rechazado. Fue detenido en octubre del 2014 y deportado en Diciembre de ese mismo año.

Después de su deportación, con todo lo que estaba pasando en Nicaragua, estaba sufriendo junto con su esposa e hijos.

Durante las elecciones presidenciales en Nicaragua, Luis participó en los levantamientos del 2018 conocidos como el movimiento “Azul y Blanco”.

Por esto, el gobierno lo encarceló, empezó a amenazarlo, lo buscaban y hasta vandalizaron la casa de mi madre en Nicaragua buscándolo. Su vida estaba en peligro.

Debido a todo lo que estaba pasando en Nicaragua, Luis no tuvo otra opción más que huir y regresar a los Estados Unidos, ya que su vida estaba en peligro, y toda nuestra familia está aquí en Miami, Florida.

Al llegar, la administración Biden le permitió entrar bajo libertad supervisada.

Le autorizaron la entrada porque presentó todas las pruebas de que nosotros, su esposa e hijos vivimos aquí en Miami y todos somos ciudadanos y residentes.

Una vez liberado, le dieron un vuelo a Miami.

Comenzó a trabajar nuevamente y a tramitar sus documentos. Cada año se presentaba a su cita de inmigración mientras sus papeles estaban en proceso. Tiene licencia, permiso de trabajo, seguro social… solo le falta la tarjeta de residencia.

Ahora, bajo la administración Trump, el 30 de abril, justo después de su cumpleaños, Luis tuvo su cita anual con inmigración y fue detenido en ese mismo momento.

Y ahora estamos aquí, pidiéndole a la comunidad que por favor nos ayuden.

Necesitamos pagar $10,000.00 al abogado lo mas antes posible.

Entre todos nos estamos uniendo, pero no es suficiente.

Desafortunadamente, todos tenemos cuentas que pagar y ninguno de nosotros puede reunir esta cantidad de dinero en tan poco tiempo.

La razón por la cual pedimos ayuda es porque su abogada de Pozo Goldstein LLP, está solicitando ahora $10,000.00.

Ella ha sido su abogada desde que reingresó al país y ha estado trabajando en su caso. Él siempre ha pagado sus honorarios legales, pero como ahora está detenido, ella necesita realizar procedimientos adicionales, lo que justifica el cobro.

La familia asistió a su última audiencia este lunes 2 de junio de 2025 en el centro de detención de Krome, donde está detenido.

Lo que estamos viviendo es simplemente horrible. Personalmente, ni siquiera puedo explicarlo. Solo puedo imaginar lo que sienten mis sobrinos y mi mamá. No le deseo esto a nadie.

Tiene una próxima audiencia en Julio, pero debemos reunir este dinero antes posible para que la abogada de Pozo Goldstein pueda continuar trabajando en el caso y representándolo.

Les pido con todo mi corazón que si pueden ayudar en lo que sea, que Dios los bendiga. Desde un solo dólar hasta simplemente compartir esta publicación, estaré inmensamente agradecida.

Les ruego de rodillas que hagamos esto posible, para que mi hermano no sea deportado, y que todos juntos podamos ayudarlo.
