FIRE DESTROYED MY PARENT’S BUSINESS! 
My parents Luis (Fasha) and Zenaida have
worked nonstop since they were teenagers.
They have endured many hardships
throughout life but have been able to
overcome them. They are honest and
hard-working people. Luis retired after
working 24 years for MTA and Zenaida after
working 40 years as a seamstress and laborer. They were not ready to play it quits, they took their retirement and savings and purchased
their first tour bus and established their small business as “LUIZEN TOURS USA.” Business
was great, Luis enjoyed driving around the
country and Zenaida as his assistant and
customer service representative. They both
received compliments on how clean their bus was an awesome customer service they
provided. With business booming they
decided to purchase a second bus. Coachella weekend was one of their favorite events
because it provided them with great revenue.

Covid hit and it all came to a stop; they
sustained  a major loss in income. They dug
into their savings and received financial help
from my sisters and I to get by. Luis continued to go back-and-forth with the unemployment office but to this date has not received one
cent. Luis would pick up work here and there
and they were managing to get by. He was
excited because he had three jobs lined up.
But tragedy hit them once more on Friday,
February 26 when their two buses caught on
fire. My parents sobbed when they witness
their bread and butter being completely
engulfed in flames. Fasha received bad news
from his insurance company, the amount he
will receive will not even cover the loss of one bus. These buses are their livelihood, without
them they cannot work or earn a living. This is a small independent business ran by Fasha
and my mother only. The go fund amount is
just a tip of the iceberg of the amount my
parents need to get back on their feet. Fasha
and  Zenaida are still not ready to call it quits. With the help of family and friends we can
make this happen. Please share this as much
