On Monday May 18th, while power was out, Luis walking down to our generator slipped and broke his ankle in 3 places. Being an American with no insurance here means the entire bills are placed on us, totaling around 25000 Canadian dollars of unexpected bills while Megan is also going through her own medical issues preventing her also from working.
We have 3 main goals for this campaign to reach for being able to pay all these debts back.
(Goals include fees for GoFundMe campaigns)
- $7000 - Min goal we wish to reach, this will allow us to pay back in full the loan given to us by Luis's parents that was required to place down for his ankle surgery
- $20000 - Current bills we have towards the hospital visits up to the surgery
- $25000 - All bills covered including future appointments plus gas, equipment and hotels.
- +$25K - Anything over the final amount will first be used to help with gaining citizenship in Canada and other outstanding debts or future unknown costs
None of the money will be used to keep or for leisure

Thank you everyone so far with your support we were able to get the surgery done and now Luis has a bunch of nuts and bolts and plates in his ankle now but he is recovering great!
