Hello family and friends,

As we continue to progress through and heal from the pandemic, let’s not forget to continue to pray for those who have lost a loved one, those who are battling the ability to breathe, and those with any other health condition, as well as those who are struggling financially. Today, I humbly ask for your thoughts, prayers, and if possible, financial support for my brother Luis.

Over a year ago, my brother became very ill. He was ultimately laid off from his job. Losing his job also led to him being cut off from his insurance. At the same time, his health was quickly deteriorating. His traveling expenses to doctors from Merced to San Francisco were rapidly accumulating.

About six months ago the doctors said that he would need a double lung transplant. Thankfully, after a long year of agony, he had the double lung transplant. Although his recovery journey will be long, we are grateful for the progress he has made.

The expenses continue to pile up. Aside from medical bills, Luis and his family will now be adding housing to the list as they are staying in San Francisco for at least six weeks to be near doctors and attend daily appointments.
