Hello everyone,

My name is Zulma Barreto, and this is my niece's daughter, Ludmila. She’s a sweet, active

and happy 6-year-old who loves drawing and playing with her brothers. In December of 2021,

Ludmila couldn't feel her face or left hand, and she could barely walk within minutes. After being rushed to the local hospital, they discovered a brain tumor after a week of several tests. Ludmila lives in Misiones, Argentina, a rural village, where the hospital cannot handle the type of treatment she will need. The doctor explained that the only option would be to go to Buenos Aires weekly, where the hospital could continue tests and treatment options.

This situation has left a huge impact financially on our family. My niece had to step away from her

job to stay with Ludmila in the hospital 24/7. They can't afford to pay for the

entire family’s weekly transportation to Buenos Aires, so Ludmila's father remains at home

watching after her two brothers. They do not have health insurance, so everything is out of

pocket. Ludmila is due for surgery on January 28th to remove part of the

rapidly growing tumor. After surgery, she will need to start chemotherapy, and we do not know

how long the entire treatment process will be. We do know it will be a long road to

recovery.

Hopefully, through everyone's help and support, we can cover medical bills, the cost of

travel, and any other expenses that Ludmila and her family may face. Any donation is
