Dear friends, fellow musicians, animal lovers, even strangers, I (and Lucy) need your help!

We have an emergency situation on our hands regarding my favorite neighborhood stray kitty, Lucy, who is pictured below (and named after Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds).

Lucy randomly showed up in our yard last year. She was tiny, quite pregnant, and had a larger-than-life, very fearless personality! We managed to get her spayed so she wouldn't continue to get pregnant, but she never wanted to be domesticated and comes and goes as she pleases. Unfortunately, a few nights ago, I found my poor girl Lucy all bloody. She couldn't move and was in a total state of fear/shock. She looked like she went through hell.

I decided to take her to the nearest emergency vet. We then paid (out of pocket) for her wounds to be treated, multiple stitches, pain medications/antibiotics, blood work, and X-rays to be safe. I brought her home to recover, assuming she'd be back to normal in a few weeks!

Three days later, I got a call from the doctor saying Lucy's X-rays showed a femoral fracture (from whatever attacked her), causing her hip and leg bone to rub up against each other, and she needs surgery to alleviate that pain. This made sense, considering she can barely walk right now and is clearly in pain.

The vet said the surgery would cost $1500-1800 (and that's WITH a discount for her being a stray), but considering we already covered her emergency room visit of $1200, that's more than our budget can handle right now.

I figured social media would be the best place to seek help, guidance, prayers, resources, and donations.

Does anyone know of a vet who would/could do low-cost surgery? If not , please donate!
