Lucy has been my loyal companion for the past two years, bringing so much joy and energy into my home. She’s a sweet and spunky little black and white terrier who not only keeps me company but is also a best friend to my other dog. Her playful spirit and loving nature have made her an irreplaceable part of our family.

Recently, Lucy managed to slip out of the house when my roommate accidentally left the door unlatched. She was missing for an entire night and most of the next day, and during that time, she suffered a serious injury to her paw. We’re not sure exactly how it happened, but the damage is severe enough that she now needs to have her leg amputated. The past few days have been incredibly stressful and emotional as I’ve tried to keep her comfortable and safe while preparing for her surgery.

Lucy’s injury has changed our daily routine. She’s been in pain and is struggling to get around, and I’ve had to adjust everything at home to make sure she’s as comfortable as possible.
