Help Lucy & Mike Rebuild Their Dream in Le Marche, Italy!

Hi, we’re Lucy and Mike, a British couple who embarked on a dream journey to the stunning region of Le Marche in Italy in 2015. Our goal was simple: to buy a country house and transform it into a welcoming destination for holidaymakers who want to immerse themselves in the beauty of the area, while enjoying the fabulous food and wine.

We were thrilled to begin hosting our first ‘food and wine experiences’ in 2016, sharing the charm of our new home, (named 'Casa Lucia' to relect Lucy's dream), with visitors. But that same year, disaster struck. The region was hit by a series of devastating earthquakes, and our home was severely damaged. We had to leave our beloved property and move into rented accommodation as we reassessed our future.

We didn’t give up. Despite the setbacks, we continued pursuing our dream, hosting groups in alternative venues. Then, as if the universe wasn’t done testing us, the Covid pandemic hit, and tourism in the area virtually disappeared for two long years.

Finally, after what felt like endless delays with funding, and a shortage of materials and labour, we were able to start rebuilding our home in 2023. While it's been an incredibly difficult journey, we’ve remained hopeful and resilient. This year, we’re focusing on returning to our own home by autumn, but we need your help to get there.

The financial toll of these setbacks has drained our resources, and we’re reaching out to friends, family, and kind-hearted supporters to help us complete the final steps of our project. Your donations will allow us to finish the building and continue our dream of welcoming visitors to Le Marche.
