Help Lucy grow and thrive!

Hi my name is Stacy. I’m kicking off this go fund me on behalf of my sister, her husband, and my beautiful niece Lucianna. If you know my sister and her family she’s not one to ask for help, let alone a hand out. But this is so important and a wonderful opportunity for Lucy. As you may be aware, Lucy was born with Achondroplasia, and has been an amazingly strong, resourceful, and a happy typical kiddo despite the multitude of surgeries and doctors appointments she has endured in her seven years. Recently the FDA approved a medication that will increase linear growth in patients with Achondroplasia would you itself is pretty great, but the longer term affects her expected to further improve Lucy’s independence mobility and overall quality of life. The issue with a specialty drug is that it’s newly approved and the cost is very high. With co-pays and deductibles the out of pocket cost this year alone are expected to exceed $20,000. The hope is to provide some assistance in covering those cost so that Lucy can take advantage of this new medication as soon as possible. During the end of year annual benefits renewal period, the family will plan to elect a higher cost plan with better coverage so that the out-of-pocket costs will be easier to manage on a go forward basis.
