Lucy came into our lives after my brother passed away unexpectedly in July 2025. She was his loyal companion, and when we took her in, she quickly became a beloved member of our family. Lucy is incredibly well-behaved, protective of our home, and always eager to play outside—especially when it comes to chasing her favorite ball.

Last week, while playing fetch at the park, Lucy tore her ACL. It was heartbreaking to see her in pain, especially knowing how much she loves to run and play. The surgery she needs is more than we can afford right now. We are doing our best to manage her pain, but surgery is the only way to help her heal and get back to the active life she loves.

Lucy had a tough start in life—before we adopted her, her only toy was a log she would chew on. Since joining our family, she’s discovered the joy of toys and play, becoming the happiest dog.
